une 92 curieuse sur NB [1892]
Bonjour,
plusieurs la suivent :

Carbine (longueur) ou Rifle (bride de magasin) ?
canon : annoncé 49 cm (mesuré à l'entrée du boitier probablement)
bouche : couleur blanchâtre
bride re-montée à l'envers (après rebronsage ?)
hausse: est-ce la photo ou elle a des retours ?
l’élévateur (crocodile) semble bien prés du boitier, comment le reculer au max ?
à moins que la rainure ne soit pas au bon endroit ?
aucune vue des marquages du canon
prix bien bas si c'est une 92 authentique

c'est quoi ce N° L56860 ?
la crosse est "Carbine" => l'ensemble est "bitza"

Ci-dessous un comparatif photographique avec ma 1892 de 1905 canon 20" (51cm)
Le canon : on attend les marquages mais à mon avis c'est un canon de rifle rapporté sur cette carabine, la longueur est supérieure à 20 pouces. Je ne m'explique pas les 46cm annoncés par le vendeur car 49cm c'est la longueur du canon d'une 20" prise partir de l'avant du boîtier.
La hausse : évidemment pas d'origine ni Winchester et inadaptée. Pourquoi le vendeur l'a-t-il remplacée ? Il dit qu'avant ça allait bien...
La queue d'aronde est placée trop près du boîtier.
Le guidon : pas celui d'une carabine.
Le numéro : L56860 de 1898 indiqué par le vendeur, je suppose que c'est 156860 ce qui la place effectivement en 1898.
L'état : métaux visiblement nettoyés, brossés puis rebronzés (usure marquage bride, traces brosse rotative par exemple)
....
PS pour Zanflutte l'impitoyable : oui je sais , l'anneau arrière de ma 92 est à l'envers.. (vis à droite)

I know that this is an old post but I thought I would reply in an effort to put out some information that may be of help to others. Several subtle hints tell us the barrel is not original to the gun.
1. The stamp style on the upper tang was used from SN 1 to about SN 246000. During this entire time period the magazine end cap for the 25-20 and 32 WCF rifles would have had a small tab on it that fit into a groove in the underside of the barrel at the muzzle. The current magazine cap is not correct on the rifle.
2. The muzzle of the barrel should be rounded or "crowned" and it appears to be cut perfectly flat.
3. If it was a re-purposed sporting rifle barrel that was cut down the rear sight dovetail should be further from the receiver face than it appears to be. Without clear photo of any additional stamped writing on the barrel it is impossible to definitively determine if it is a sporting rifle barrel.
4. I can not bee absolutely certain but it appears that both the front sight location and the magazine retaining band are positioned too far from the muzzle.
